We were appointed to provide structural engineering consulting for renovations to a Victorian style flat on Linden Gardens in Notting Hill. Ola Jachymiak Studio led the design to create a luxurious apartment “reminiscent of New York lofts but with a warm and cosy finish which would feel like home.”
Our works included design of a large opening between hallway and kitchen (pictured). This required a steel box frame, with the opening fitted with a telescopic stainless steel sliding door.
We visited the property to advise which walls were structural and this allowed remodelling of the ancillary rooms. A more generous opening was created for the main living and dining room. Strengthening for a taller opening into the second bedroom allowed the interior designer to insert bespoke doors which accentuated the views down the hallway.
